Blog Number Sixteen: A New Overview

Four more months. As surreal as it seems, that is how much time there is left until my ISM journey concludes. This past week, in addition to having my first week back from winter break, I found myself in all of my classes to have to regain a hardworking state of mind over time in order to be able to continue to be successful. Specifically in ISM, this included understanding important dates, and it was especially startling when I found out that the final presentation that I have been referring to on numerous occasions as occurring in May, the last month of the school year, will occur instead on April 27th. Having a sister who was in ISM three years ago with myself attending her final speech in May, our year having such a different schedule speaks to the volume that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on what our school this year is. It is very hard for me to recognize such a different normal, yet that is the reality that we have today. This week also gave me an understanding of what will define the month of May in my journey instead: AP exams. Four of them. Double the amount I have previously taken in my lifetime. However, I know that taking said exams will be greatly beneficial to the goals I have not only beyond ISM, but also high school. Ultimately, I believe I can finally begin to take the first steps past the halfway pint and finally begin to close out an extremely eventful year.
