This past few weeks in ISM, I was able to reflect upon my original work for a longer time period and further develop my thoughts and conclusions from what was easily the largest project I have ever completed and in its own right an immense undertaking. After receiving back my grade on the project (with a 98), I think it is safe to say, in what hopefully does not come off with too much ego, that I did have validity in my reflection that I felt strong of the work that I completed. There is always a feeling of jinxing something, especially for someone like me who has watched way too much sports in my life. Funny enough, that occurred over this past winter break, and I was definitely not expecting of Ohio State's blowout of somewhat heavily favored Clemson in the College Football Playoff last week (Go Bucks!). Just like how I can't just expect a good grade on my Original Work project, I'm not expecting much for Ohio State when they play top-ranked Alabama next week (not that I even would if I wasn't an Ohio State fan). With winter break, I really do think that those much-needed two weeks gave me a fresh mindset to hopefully be able to attack this semester in a much more comfortable manner. For these four or so months, I don't have to face the challenge of adapting to new expectations, I have a far better idea about what's ahead of me.
