This past week, I crafted my Original Work Speech that I am to present tomorrow to my audience of seven classmates. Although my audience is very small, it also means a couple of things. A smaller audience leads to a greater focus of your speech. With this in mind, I heavily altered my prior speech on research to create a more cohesive speech that better interweaves that make up my ISM journey. I want to make my speech far more engaging to ultimately bring about positivity in knowledge. Everyone has different interests, but utilizing persuasive techniques from other classes I have such as AP Language/Composition, and even thesis structure when writing AP US History essays have served to benefit my transition of ideas from paper to presentation. Even though a small audience allows greater focus time on your material, I will not be using this leeway due to my final speech that I am to make in April. I will take the opportunity of my speech tomorrow to also polish my presentation skills in my delivery and my inflection in my tone. I hope that this will be a major advancement and step towards reaching the peak of ISM with my final product.
